METTLER TOLEDO, a leading global supplier of precision instruments and services, releases its unique laboratory and instrument control software, LabX 2010. This software supports customer applications and manages their data in a straightforward, fast and secure manner. The new software supports XP and XS Balances as well as METTLER TOLEDO’s new LiquiPhysics™ Excellence density and refractometers. Laboratory solutions powered by LabX 2010 enable customers to perform daily tasks directly on the instrument.

LabX 2010 securely manages the customer’s entire application including performing calculations, guiding users through procedures and generating reports that can be fully customized. It also has the capacity for secure data storage, data export/import and provides full regulatory support if required. The LabX 2010 server edition allows connection of up to 30 laboratory instruments, thereby enabling bidirectional transfer of data and task information into and from management systems such as ELN, LIMS or SAP.

With LabX Software users can perform daily tasks directly on the instrument touchscreen; they are guided through their procedures in a fail safe and step wise manner. By using the graphical method editor interface, standard applications can be adapted to any type of workflow – without the need for programming. METTLER TOLEDO LabX 2010 provides a complete range of ready-to-use method and report templates for most standard applications. The software also ensures that instruments are tested correctly and informs the user whether the instruments are ready for use.

Mettler Toledo LabX Software - Flexible and tailored modules aid easy operation

LabX 2010 Software can be tailored to fit individual process requirements: The user can easily add options to fulfill the needs of regulated environments, product handling or automated import and export. METTLER TOLEDO LabX 2010 supports LiquiPhysics Excellence, designed to facilitate density and refractive index determinations within different application areas including the food and beverage, flavors and fragrances, petrochemicals and pharmaceutical industries. For example, the software automatically converts all measurement results into user-defined units, such as alcohol concentrations. LabX 2010 runs SmartCode™ which enables methods to be executed automatically. This means that by simply scanning the information on the sample’s barcode, samples are always processed in a predefined – and therefore correct – way.
